All cakes/cupcakes/cake pops are priced according to the flavour, size/number and of course the level of detail and design you require.

In terms of cupcakes and cake pops, there is a minimum order of 6 and then must be ordered in multiples of 6 therefore. The smallest cake you can order is either a 6 inch round or square.

As standard cakes are designed to be 3 layers of sponge with 2 layers of fillings but this can be changes to get a taller cake which suits some designs better.

I offer lots of cake flavours. Here are the flavours I make regularly but please ask if there is a specific flavour you are interested in that is not in the list and I will see what I can do! I regularly make vanilla (with of without jam), chocolate, chocolate orange, lemon, coffee, cherry bakewell (contains nuts), carrot (contains nuts), strawberry, orange, vanilla/chocolate marble, apple/cinnamon, banoffee (minimum order of 12)

I offer a choice of jam, curd and buttercream flavours as well as the more indulgent chocolate ganache (dark, milk, white, mint chocolate and orange chocolate) for a little more cost.


This obviously depends on the size of the piece of cake and whether it is for a child or an adult and the occasion too.  The table below can be used as a guide for the ‘party’ size portion but be aware that for weddings, you should double the number of portions because caterers usually cut small portions:

Ingredients & Allergens

Please note that my standard cakes are made with gluten containing ingredients, dairy and eggs but alternative ingredients can be used upon request where there is an allergy. Please also note that whilst nuts are not present on the majority of my cakes there are nuts present in the kitchen.

Payment & Deposit

A non refundable 50% deposit is required on all orders to confirm them in the diary, which can be paid via bank transfer or cash. No work will start on a cake without a deposit. The balance can then be paid upon collection (from Maidenbower – Crawley) in cash or before via bank transfer.

Terms & Conditions


All orders made through Carly’s Cakehouse are subject to the following terms and conditions. Please read the them before placing your order.  By paying your deposit it will confirm that you have read the terms and conditions and you agree to them.

A non-refundable and non-transferable 50% deposit is payable to confirm an order.  An order is not confirmed until the deposit has been paid.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash.

Final Payments
Final payments for celebration cakes are made when the order is collected, unless otherwise stated. Final payments for wedding cakes must be made at least 2 weeks prior to delivery/collection.

If final payment is not received, the order will not be completed or released until payment is made in full. Subsequent completion of the order will be subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Alterations to orders
If you wish to amend your order after it has been confirmed please contact me as soon possible to discuss the options available and at least 2 weeks prior to the event for celebration cakes and 4 weeks for wedding cakes. Please be advised that changes may incur an additional cost. Whilst every effort will be made to assist with changes, please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed.

Your order must be collected at a pre-arranged time. A signature is required upon collection confirming that you have received your order in good condition and as specified. Please note that once the order has been signed for and left the premises, Carly’s Cakehouse takes no responsibility for any damage that may occur to your order.
Please ensure after collection, you transport your order as flat as possible. I recommend that you place the order in the footwell of the passenger side of the car and not on a passenger’s lap. You should keep all orders out of sunlight and at room temperature. Orders should never be stored in a car except when travelling to the event. Orders with sugar paste or containing sugar paste decorations should not be kept in a refrigerator.

Delivery of wedding cakes
Your order will be delivered and set up at the venue address supplied by you and at a pre-arranged time with the venue.  It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that someone is available to receive your cake and sign the delivery paperwork.  A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to leaving the venue by Carly’s Cakehouse to verify that the cake has been set up and left in good condition.

Fresh Flowers
I am happy to liaise with your florist in order to dress your cake with a fresh floral arrangement. Please be aware some flowers can be toxic and should not be placed into contact with food. Your florist can advise you on the safest flowers to dress your cake with. Carly’s Cakehouse is not responsible for any problems with fresh flowers and any damage caused to the cake caused by a fresh floral arrangement.

Please be aware that whilst your order may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes and fillings, therefore we cannot guarantee that all cakes are 100% free from nut traces. The same applies to dairy, gluten and eggs.

Carly’s Cakehouse offers a bespoke service and is therefore limited in how many bookings are taken for any given week. If you wish to cancel an order close to the delivery/collection date it is unlikely that the cancelled space will be filled and therefore the following cancellation charges will apply. Cancellations MUST be in writing.

Wedding cakes: 1 month or less – 100% of Full Cake Cost, 1 month or more – Loss of the deposit

All other celebration orders: 1 week or less 100% of Full Cake Cost, 1 week or more – Loss of the deposit

By placing an order you agree that Carly’s Cakehouse is the sole designer and owner of the final cake design. All images and cake designs remain the property of Carly’s Cakehouse. No person shall have entitlement to copy or reproduce in any form, or otherwise make use of any image, photograph or design produced by Carly’s Cakehouse without prior consent. The customer has no ownership rights over any cake design. Carly’s Cakehouse reserves the right to re-use and publish photographs of your cake as and when required.
